Inquiry :

Symbol/Gene Name:  ponA1

Alias:  Penicillin-binding protein 1A,PBP-1A,Penicillin-binding protein 1*,Penicillin-insensitive transglycosylase,Peptidoglycan TGase,Penicillin-sensitive transpeptidase,DD-transpeptidase

Uniprot: P71707

Background: Cell wall formation. Synthesis of cross-linked peptidoglycan from the lipid intermediates. The enzyme has a penicillin-insensitive transglycosylase N-terminal domain (formation of linear glycan strands) and a penicillin-sensitive transpeptidase C-terminal domain (cross-linking of the peptide subunits) (By similarity). Has little peptidoglycan hydrolytic activity; however it inhibits the synergistic peptidoglycan hydrolysis of RipA plus RpfB.

Construct: PBP1A(K391-P820 end)

Expression Host: E. coli

Purity: 90%

Formulation: 50 mM Tris-HCl (pH7.5), 200 mM NaCl, 20% glycerol

Supplied as sterile
