概要:The cell culture facility used for recombinant protein production has also allowed our in vitro assays team to develop cell-based assays here in Biortus. Together with the amplitude of plate readers available, we could develop and perform many cell-based assays for our clients. There are two types of cell-based cell cytotoxicity assays that we do. The CellTiter-Glo® luminescent cell viability assay and the widely used MTT cell proliferation/cytotoxicity assay. The former is a convenient assay that does not require cell washing and removal of cell medium and measures luminescence generated from the amount of ATP provided by metabolically active cells. The latter measures the reduction of MTT by metabolically active cells detected by increase in 570nm absorbance.
